Vijay Sethipathi one of the upcoming movie is 800. It is a Biopic movie of legendary cricketer Muthiah Muralidaran. The film is directed by M.S.Sripathy will be made primarily in Tamil. It will also be dubbed in all the South Indian languages, as well as Hindi, Bengali and Sinhalese. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of Muthiah Muralidaran. The film is produced by Movie Train Motion Picture & Dar Pictures. Composer Sam CS and cinematographer RD Rajasekar are also on board.
The former Sri Lankan spinner Muthiah Muralidaran bagged outstanding figures in his career. He took 800 Test wickets and 534 One Day International wickets. The maximum number of wickets in history by any bowler. He made his debut in 1992 to 2011. Muralidaran was rated the greatest Test match bowler by Wisden's Cricketers' Almanack in 2002 and in 2017 was the first Sri Lankan cricketer to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. The short clip shows how Muralidaran recognised his passion for cricket, undergoing training, and becoming a world-class player and also the backdrop of the civil war that ravaged Srilanka. The film will be premiered at one of the biggest International Film festivals. The makers are planning to shoot major portions of the film in India, Sri Lanka, U.K, Australia and planned to release on 2021. Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan is likely to play the female lead.
