Janhvi Kapoor to act in the Hindi remake of Malayalam sleeper hit Helen, to be produced by her dad Boney Kapoor in association with Zee Studios. Filmmaker Mathukutty Xavier, who directed the original, will helm the remake.
The Malayalam film is about a part-time fast-food outlet staff (Anna Ben) who accidentally gets locked in the freezer room. The film had Lal, Aju Varghese and Vineeth Sreenivasan in supporting roles.
Helen was a commercial and critical success and managed to bag two National Awards for best debut film director and best makeup artist. Not just this, the thriller drama also became a recipient of Kerala State Awards and Critics Choice Film Awards 2020. The film was remade into Tamil as Anbirkiniyal starrer Arun Pandian and his daughter Keerthi Pandian.

Besides Janhvi, Vicky Kaushal's brother Sunny Kaushal too is likely to feature in the film. Veteran actor Manoj Pahwa will essay the role of Janhvi Kapoor's father in the upcoming survival thriller. Shoots being planned in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Recently Good Luck Jerry was wrapped up the shoot, which is being directed by Sidharth Sengupta. It is remake of Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila (2018) starrer Nayanthara. Apart from the Hindi adaptation of Tamil langauge flick Kolamavu Kokila, Janhvi will also be seen in Collin D'Cunha's Dostana 2.
