Much-awaited Kannada blockbuster film, Kantara received humongous success at the box office mainly due to its storyline and the way it has been portrayed on the screen. Kantara’s directorate is Rishabh Shetty who is a popular Indian director who wrote and directed much of the film and also played the lead role in Kantara as Shiva.
Finally, the wait for the Hindi version of the mega-blockbuster movie Kantara is over. The flick is coming on Netflix on Friday, December 9. It should be noted that Kantara has already been released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. However, the film is available in only Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
Kantara is based on the traditional culture of Kambala and Bhootha Kola where the lead role is played by Rishabh Shetty itself. Sapthami Gowda playing the female lead, and also features Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Pramod Shetty, and many more.

Kambala is an annual race that is held from November to March in coastal Karnataka, in which a jockey drives a pair of buffaloes, tied to the plough, through parallel muddy tracks.
