Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon's first Malayalam film Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language mystery comedy thriller, starring Mammootty in the lead role.
The story follows Dominic, a once-successful police officer who is now working as a private detective. He and his loyal assistant Vignesh (“Vicky”) take on a simple-sounding task — to find the owner of a lost ladies’ purse. What seems like a trivial job quickly turns into something much deeper and more complex: they uncover a disappearance, a murder mystery, and hidden secrets while chasing clues from the purse’s contents, turning the case into a full-blown investigation with twists and humour.
