Raat Akeli Hai
The two most promising actors, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are back to enthrall fans with their yet spectacular film Raat Akeli Hai. The plot revolves around a tough cop who investigates a high profile murder in a small town. As he gets deeper into the dark past of the victim’s family, a toxic patriarchy gets unraveled and he realises there’s more to what meets the eye. Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Ghoomketu also released recently on Zee5. The movie directed by Honey Trehan will release on July 31, 2020
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl
The film is a biographical film, based on the life of Gunjan Saxena, then a flying officer, who became the first woman combat aviator to fly into a war zone during the 1999 Kargil War. She was later honoured with the Shaurya Vir award by the Indian government for displaying exemplary courage during war time. Starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role along with Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Manav Vij. Directed by Sharan Sharma, will release on August 12, 2020.
Ludo
Ludo is an anthology film, following the stories of four characters in urban cities and how they intersect. It is directed by Anurag Basu. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Ginny weds Sunny
A romantic comedy film featuring Yami Gautam, Vikrant Massey. Directed by Puneet Khanna. Ginny meets Sunny for an arranged marriage, but turns him down and shows then how Sunny teams up with Ginny's mother to win her love.
Tribhanga - Tedhi Medhi Crazy
Tribhanga written and directed by Renuka Shahane. Starring Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar in significant roles. Kajol shared the details of Tribhanga in a tweet which said that the film is a “story about three women who dance to their own beat.” The shooting of the film has been completed and post-production work is going on.
Class of 83
Class Of 83 is based on Sayyed Yunus Hussain Zaidi's book The Class Of 83. Directed by Atul Sabharwal, Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It is a third collaboration with Netflix after the original series Bard of Blood, Betaal. The story revolves around Bobby Deol’s Vijay Singh, an upright cop who gets a punishment posting as the dean of a police academy. He has to train a group of five students, struggling with the complexities of morals and devotion towards their nation.

A dark comedy starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles, has been directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The plot is “A film director who kidnaps a well-known movie star's daughter”. Anil Kapoor was last seen in Mohit Suri’s Malang. Anurag Kashyap’s last acting project was Ghoomketu.
Kaali Khuhi
Kaali Khuhi, a horror story set in a village in Punjab directed by Terrie Samundra and produced by Manomay Motion Pictures. Shabana Azmi, Satyadeep Mishra, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Riva Arora take the lead roles in this film as Shivangi, a 10 year old girl, embarks on a mission to save her family’s village in Punjab from the restless ghosts of its horrific past.
Serious Men
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the lead role in Sudhir Mishra’s upcoming Netflix original film Serious Men. Based on journalist Manu Joseph’s eponymous book of “Serious Men”. The story follows a Mumbai slum dweller who convinces the world that his 10-year-old son is a genius. This is Nawazuddin’s second collaboration with Netflix after Sacred Games. Besides Serious Men, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also has Raat Akeli Hai which will stream on Netflix.
Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare
Two Indian women navigate the complexities of life in New Delhi. The film is a comedy satire movie directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. Starring Konkona Sensharma and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. The film had its international premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival in 2019.
Bombay Rose
Bombay Rose is a beautiful hand-painted animation created by Gitanjali Rao. It is made by frame-by-frame painted animation in computer and took 18 months with 60 artists. A young club dancer, escaping from child marriage and living in the street of Bombay, who must choose between fending for her family and finding love with a boy orphaned by the militancy.
The film was the first Indian animated feature ever selected to open Venice Critics Week and has also been selected to screen at TIFF and the BFI London Film Festival and won honors at the Chicago and Mumbai film festivals.
Torbaaz
Torbaaz, which revolves around child suicide bombers in Afghanistan, who have been trained to believe that killing the enemy is a virtue and glory in afterlife. It is an action thriller directed by Girish Malik. Cast Sanjay Dutt and Nargis Fakhri in prominent roles.
This is Sanjay Dutt’s third film to have a digital release. Bhuj: The Pride of India and Sadak 2 that have already been sold to an OTT platform of Hotstar.
