Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is set to headline Kurangu Bommai(2017) director Nithilan Swaminathan’s next. Backed by Passion Studios, the untitled project is billed to be a black comedy/action drama. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the yet-to-be-titled film will have Natty, Munishkanth, Aruldoss and Boys fame Manikandan in important roles.
Opening up about the film, Nithilan says, “The film revolves around an extremely upright and innocent man, who is forced to become the opposite: a brutally immoral person due to a wrongful connection". Currently, the shoot is happening in full swing in Chennai. The makers are planning for a theatrical release in August or September.
Ajaneesh Loknath who scored music for the critically acclaimed blockbuster 'Kantara' is on board. Philomin Raj (Maanagaram, Kaithi, Master, Vikram, Thalapathy 67) is taking care of editing. Dinesh Purushothaman, who captured the attention with his visual magic in Love Today & Vilangu Web Series is handling cinematography. Selvakumar, the man behind the magical set works of outstanding movies like Iyarkai, Peranmai, Madharasapattinam, and many films is the art director.
