CHATRAPATHI (Prime Video)
Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Nushrat Bharucha, Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, and Freddy Daruwala feature in Chatrapathi. The synopsis reads, "Separated from his family during a conflict, a refugee embarks on a mission to reunite with his adopted family. However, he faces several challenges after his foster brother conspires against him." The film received negative reviews from critics and became a box office bomb.
It is the official remake of Telugu Blockbuster film Chatrapathi. The Telugu original, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, starred Prabhas and Shriya Saran in the lead. It was a blockbuster at the box office, unlike its Hindi remake. Even the Bengali remake ‘Refugee’ and the Kannada remake of the same name did better business than this 2023 Hindi remake of the Telugu film Chatrapathi.
