Earlier, we had reported that Aishwarya Rajinikanth's upcoming directorial, Lal Salaam will now hit the screens on February 09. Lyca Productions released the new poster with a new release date.
The film was previously scheduled to be released during the Pongal festival in January. It is unknown why the makers have opted out of the Pongal race. Currently, Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan, Dhanush’s Captain Miller, Arun Vijay's Mission Chapter 1 and Vijay Sethupathi's Merry Christmas are set to clash at the box office.
Billed to be a sports drama film based on cricket, Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. Rajinikanth as Moideen Bhai in a cameo appearance.
Lal Salaam has music composed by AR Rahman, marking his first-ever collaboration with Aishwarya. With cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, the film has editing by Pravin Baaskar.
