It looks like the last few days of October will see seven films lined up for release on OTT, namely Paramporul, Iraivan, Chandramukhi 2 and Koozhangal. Here's all you need to know about the films, which are all set for their digital premiere.
PARAMPORUL - AHA Video, Prime Video, Simply South, Tentkotta
Tamil crime drama Paramporul, starring Sarathkumar & Amitash, written and directed by debutant C. Aravind Raj. The film received praise from critics and audiences, who lauded the premise, performances, visuals, and direction of Paramporul. The plot revolves around "Aadhi, who desperately needs money to save his sister, happens to meet police officer, Maithreyan, during a theft. They both get involved in an idol trade, which eventually leads to chaos."
PEBBLES / KOOZHANGAL - Sony Liv
Koozhangal (Pebbles), which was selected as India's entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, is directed by PS Vinothraj, and bankrolled by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under the banner of Rowdy Pictures. The story was inspired by the events that happened to director's family. The film revolves around a young boy and his middle-aged cynical father as they set off to find his wife. It features Chellapandi and Karuththadaiyaan as the father and son.
RANGOLI - Prime Video
Billed as a family drama set against the backdrop of school life, Written and directed by Vaali Mohan Das, Rangoli stars debutants Prarthana and Hamaresh, the nephew of filmmaker Vijay.
IRAIVAN - Netflix
Directed by I Ahmed, Iraivan unfolds the story of Jayam Ravi, portraying the role of ACP Arjun, an encounter specialist, and Nayanthara, who graces the screen as his fiancée, Priya. Adding a twist to the narrative, Rahul Bose steps into the character of a psychopath aptly named 'Smiley Man.'
INFINITY - Prime Video
Natty, Vidya Pradeep, Munishkanth starrer Infinity revolves a series of murders happens in the city, involving a writer, a policeman, and a missing young woman, complicate things for the police department. A CBI officer takes up the case, hardly realising that he’s about to unravel something more than he expected.
CHANDRAMUKHI 2 - Netflix
The sequel to the popular 2005 film Chandramukhi, Chandramukhi 2, centers on a wealthy family who rekindles a long-standing dispute between the classical dancer Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja. Kangana Ranaut, Raghava Lawrence, Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu played the key role, directed by P Vasu.
