It is jointly produced by Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and Alankar Pandian under Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios and Invenio Origin. The film stars Vishal in the titular role, alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Yogi Babu.
Vishal is started working for "Thupparivaalan" sequel. The first part Vishal played detective character which nspired from Sherlock Holmes.
