Months after its theatrical release, the controversial film 'The Kerala Story,' is finally made its way to the digital platform. The much-anticipated film is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 on February 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
The movie directed by Sudipto Sen had hit theatres last year and was one of the highest grossing films in 2023. The film generated a lot of positive reviews in North India. The film was condemned by Malayali audiences who criticised the filmmaker for presenting a claim without backing it with proper data.
It features Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani in main roles and delves into the alleged radicalization and conversion of young Hindu women to another religion in Kerala, forcing them into joining terrorist groups.
It was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures. The film minted over 300 crores across the world despite being made with a budget of around 30 crores.
