Maharaja is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Nithilan Saminathan. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the titular role, alongside Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami Gopikumar, Divyabharathi, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Sachana Namidass, Manikandan and Bharathiraja.
The story about, A barber seeks vengeance after his home is burglarized, cryptically telling police his "lakshmi" has been taken, leaving them uncertain if it's a person or object. His quest to recover the elusive "lakshmi" unfolds.
It's a huge Blockbuster in theatre and OTT. It's released in CHINA on Nov 29 and collected 20c so far. Due to overwhelming response the team is planned to release the film in JAPAN too. Date is yet to be announced, the film collected 125c worldwide.
