After a successful theatrical run at the box office, Mohanlal's much-anticipated courtroom drama 'Neru' is poised to make its digital debut on streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar from January 23, 2023. Along with the original Malayalam version, dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada are also up for streaming.
Cinemagoers are praising the movie due to its captivating storyline and outstanding performances. Neru managed to mint ₹85 crore worldwide becoming the 2nd highest grossing Malayalam film of the year. Interestingly, the film was made on a budget of Rs 10 crore.
Mohanlal plays an advocate Vijayamohan, a public prosecutor standing firmly alongside the victim Sara and her family. Acclaimed director Jeethu Joseph directed the film. This is the fifth collaboration between Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph after Drishyam, Drishyam 2, 12th Man and the RAM. Priyamani and Anaswara Rajan played notable roles.
The soundtracks for the film have been composed by Vishnu Shyam. Satheesh Kurup has helmed the camera work, while Vinayak V S is the editor. Antony Perumbavoor has bankrolled the movie under Aashirvad Cinemas’ banner.
