On the joyous occasion of Pongal, the makers of Vettaiyan have released the new poster featuring the lead star Rajinikanth. The hand-drawn picture shows one image of Rajinikanth leading a crowd of people in a riot with a gun in his hand and another image of the star super-imposed over it.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film has a stellar cast of Fahadh Faasil, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. The music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Produced by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan is currently shooting in the coastal region of Puducherry.
Earlier, on December 12, marking the superstar 73rd Birthday, the film's title and teaser were revealed. In the video, a stylish Rajinikanth is seen putting on his glasses as he delivers a dialogue about hunting his prey.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's next release will be Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth. He also has Lokesh Kanagaraj's Thalaivar 171, which is backed by Sun Pictures.
