Most awaited PAN India film 'Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire' has got its digital debut on streaming giant Netflix. The film will start streaming on January 20, 2024 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The Hindi version has not yet been released on OTT. So, those who want to watch it in Hindi will have to wait further.
After a very long time, Prabhas scored a commercial hit with this film Salaar, which is helmed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel. Despite mixed reviews, the film managed to become one of the highest grossers of 2023. The movie surpassed over ₹700 crores by the end of its theatrical run and provided a huge sigh of relief to fans. Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran played the role of his friend.
Plot: Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, the narrative revolves around the camaraderie between two friends, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), one of whom is a gang leader who tries to keep a promise given to his dying friend and takes on other criminal gangs.
This highly anticipated film features an impressive ensemble cast, starring Shruti Haasan, Bobby Simha, Jagapathi Babu, Mime Gopi, John Vijay, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and more, adding depth and dimension to the narrative with their compelling performances. Ravi Basrur composed the tunes for this action drama. It backed by Hombale Films.
A sequel to the film, 'Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam,' is currently in the developmental stages.
