Alone, the recent movie starring Malayalam cinema’s big star Mohanlal, will soon premiere on the OTT platform after having its theatrical release on January 26. The writing credit for the film goes to Rajesh Jayaraman and Directed by Shaji Kailas, the film is a mystery-thriller drama with a single character in a key role. The story is set during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in India. It stars Mohanlal as Kalidas, who gets stranded alone in an apartment building during the virus outbreak.
Though Mohanlal is the sole actor on screen, the film also has other stars lending their voices to the various characters, who take the plot forward. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Baiju Santosh, Renji Panicker, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Nandu, Siddique and Suresh Krishna are some of the actors who are also part of the movie, which is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas.
As per the latest report, Alone will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on March 3, 2023.
