Dhanush & Samyuktha starrer period drama Bilingual film Vaathi / Sir already streaming on Netflix. Now, the platform additionally added the Hindi version of Vaathi. The film is based on an incident that took place in the 1990s. Dhanush portrays a lecturer in the movie, which is about the educational system. The movie is all about a teacher’s battle against frauds that drive up the cost of education and make it inaccessible to kids from underprivileged sectors.
Directed by Venky Atluri, who previously directed Tholi Prema, Mr. Majnu, Rang De. Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Hyper Aadhi, Narra Srinivas, among others play prominent roles in the film. The movie received a good response from the audience and Dhanush's performance was specially praised.
