Chai Bisket Films and Lahari Films who earlier backed Writer Padmabhushan this year, have teamed up again to deliver a youthful entertainer, 'Mem Famous'. YouTuber Sumanth Prabhas made his acting and directorial debut with this film, which was released in the theaters last month and was a profitable venture for the makers. Without any advance intimation whatsoever, It has started streaming on the Amazon Prime Video from June 30, 2023.
The plot centers on three best friends named Mai, Bali, and Durga, who live in a village in rural Telangana. The trio sets out to develop a thriving tent house business fueled by fantasies of stardom. Their journey, however, is loaded with unexpected hardships that put their strength and friendship to the test. Saarya Laxman, Mourya Nalagatla and Mani Aegurla played other key roles in this flick.
Director Sumanth Prabhas started his career by creating instagram reels as he used to imitate South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda. After that, the actor started doing cover songs and soon was recognized on the internet. Now the actor officially made his film debut which brought success to him.
