After its successful run-in theatres, Navya Nair and Saiju Kurup starrer 'Janaki Jaane' is heading for its OTT release. The film dropped on Disney+ Hotstar from July 11, 2023, in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil audio formats. The recently released Malayalam film written and directed by Aniesh Upaasana, the film was released on May 12 and received average to mixed reviews from critics.
The film portrays Navya's character Janaki as someone who is afraid of the dark. Saiju Kurup plays a character named Unni Mukundan, who is her partner. The film features an ensemble cast, including Johny Antony, Sharafudeen, Kottayam Nazeer, Anarkali Marikar, George Kora, Sminu Sijo, Pramod Veliyanadu, James Eliya. The film marks Saiju Kurup and Navya Nair’s second collaboration after ‘Oruthee'.
Synopsis: A small-town girl named Janaki battles a panic problem and attempts to put off getting married. When Unni Mukundan wants to marry her, things become challenging, and how they both solve the problems is the storyline of the movie.
