Theatrical releases are made available on digital platforms after a month of their theatrical release, and this made it easy for the audience to watch the film. But some films miss out on releasing on OTT platforms or get delayed due to some reasons, and Sibiraj starrer 'Maayon' was also one of them as the June 2022, the flick wasn't released on OTT yet. However, the wait is going to be over now as the film is gearing up for an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video from August 11, 2023.
Maayon received positive feedback from critics at the time of its theatrical release. The film, which is directed by N Kishore, has Tanya Ravichandran as the leading lady. A gang of idol smugglers plan to steal a hidden treasure in an ancient Hindu temple, that has mysterious secrets. The star cast also comprises Radha Ravi, KS Ravikumar, Bagavathi Perumal, Hareesh Peradi and Aarash Shah.
Sibiraj made a box office comeback with 'Maayon', and the makers have also announced the film's next chapter titled 'Maayon: Chapter 2'. Meanwhile, Sibiraj will be next seen in 'Jackson Durai: Chapter 2', which is also a sequel to the actor's 2016 Tamil release.
