Dinesh Kumaran has helmed the heist drama MAAL starring Asraf, VJ Pappu, Jey, Saikarthi, Gowri Nandha, Dinesh Kumaran and SP Gajaraj in lead roles. The film skipped the theatrical release and will directly stream on AHA Tamil from September 22, 2023.
Story: On the mission of idol abduction, four separate stories are interconnected. The story weaves together the lives of two local chain snatchers, (Asraf and Dinesh), dreaming of becoming wealthy and the journey of a young man, Pappu, who wants to propose to his friend (Jey), the life of a local gangster, Karti, who missed the statue of “Raja Raja Chozhan,” which lands in the hand of a corrupt police officer (Gajaraj). The missing statue is found, and the rest of the narrative revolves around what happens to the four primary characters.
